RS232 to DMX Interface

We now have a number of boxes available depending on your requirements and budget.

Generation 2 RS2DMX Box

After a year in development and testing the new 2nd Generation Unit is now available.

This unit provides fading within the box to allow your controller to be freed up from sending every level command for a channel ramp.
This also allows 8 stored presets to be recalled with fading to the new levels.
It uses a simple command set and can be controlled from Hyperterminal for testing and configuration.

They can control 128 channels of DMX and have 8 internal memories that can be recalled with a adjustable crossfade time.

Original RS2DMX Box

The original Generation 1 unit is still available - see here.

These units require a hardware handshake connection to the driving controller.  They are straight RS232 to DMX interfaces with no ability to fade or ramp channels unless the external controller can send the required commands.

They can control 64 channels of DMX and have 4 internal memories for channel levels.
